Obituary of John Gow

John A. Gow 1915 – 2014 In his 99th year John Adamson Gow died on Friday April 10 2014. John lived his whole life in Saint John West always within 2 miles of his birthplace on Rodney St. He retired from N.B. Telephone Co. John was an avid curler at Carleton Curling Club and a faithful member of Carleton- Kirk United Church. He is survived by his wife Gladys and children Janice Stephenson of Halifax, Lynda Gow of Edmonton, and Bruce (Trudy) of Wickham; 5 grandchildren: Jonathan (Michelle), Jill, Hilary, and Jeffrey Stephenson, Brent Park (Kara), and nieces Rhoda Boyce and Patricia Robertson. He was predeceased by his sister Isabel Garret, brother William Gow and son-in-law, Dr. Don Stephenson. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3.Visitation will take place on Wednesday April 16th from 6-8 pm from the funeral home and also a visitation at Carleton -Kirk United Church Thursday April 17 at 1pm. A service to celebrate and give thanks for his long and full life will be held at Carleton -Kirk United Church on Thursday April 17 at 2 pm with a reception to follow.
