Obituary of Joseph William Doucette
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joe on December 16, 2024, at Monarch Hall, in Riverview, NB. He is predeceased by his parents Bill and Vera Doucette, and his wife Betty Doucette.
Joe loved chasing waterfalls and hiking through the woods. He would be seen walking around Saint John looking for adventure, and would give a helping hand to anyone. Joe was great with computers and made many things out of wood and metal, including two rings and a skull with interlocking chain.
He is survived by his son Jason Doucette of Saint John, NB, granddaughter Trinity Doucette-Gautreau of Saint John, NB, brother Patrick (Carol) Doucette of Moncton, NB, sisters; Ann Vickers of Salmon Creek, NB, Diana McCarty of Bains Corner, NB, Holly (George) Reicker, Alma (Ed) Banks, and Crystal Doucette, all of Saint John, NB, and many nieces and nephews.
A huge thank you to the staff of Monarch Hall; the RNs, LPNs, CCAs, servery workers, housekeepers, and laundry crew, for all of your love and care for Joe over the last two and a half years.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM one hour prior. Interment will occur in Ocean View Memorial Gardens following the service.
Donations in memory of Joe would be greatly appreciated to the Alzheimers and Dementia Society. Online condolences may be shared at www.BrenansFH.com
